 Launches “Digital Markets 50” Crypto + Blockchain Index

S&P Dow Jones Indices revealed the launch of a new index, the S&P Digital Markets 50, combining 15 major cryptocurrencies and 35 blockchain/crypto-related stocks in one diversified basket.
To improve balance, no single asset can have more than 5% weight. S&P partnered with blockchain firm Dinari, which will issue a tokenized version of this index via its decentralized platform, dShares, by the end of 2025.
This is the first time S&P has merged traditional equities and crypto assets in a single index, aiming to give institutional and retail investors a more balanced entry into the digital markets.
