ICE to Invest Up to $2 Billion in Polymarket
The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which owns the New York Stock Exchange, announced plans to invest up to $2 billion in Polymarket, a blockchain-based prediction market platform.
Polymarket lets users trade on event outcomes via smart contracts (politics, business, sports). Through the partnership, ICE plans to push deeper into tokenization initiatives — converting real-world assets into digital tokens. The deal is seen as an effort to bring prediction markets into mainstream finance, leveraging ICE’s market infrastructure and Polymarket’s blockchain capabilities.
