Over $2.5B in token unlocks expected to hit the crypto market this August
The crypto market is bracing for a surge in liquidity throughout August, as more than $2.5 billion worth of tokens are scheduled to be unlocked during the final month of summer.
Among the most anticipated events are large-scale token releases from projects like Sui (SUI), Ethena (ENA), Aptos (APT), and others.
On August 1, 56.91 million SUI tokens (worth approx. $210.4 million) will be unlocked, representing 1.65% of the token's market cap.
On August 2, the release of 94.91 million ENA tokens valued at $55.32 million is expected (1.48% of total supply).
On August 12, 11.31 million APT (approx. $49.75 million) will enter circulation, making up 1.69% of the token's market cap.
On August 16, 92.63 million ARB tokens worth $37.67 million will be unlocked.
On August 20, 24.68 million ZRO tokens will be released, totaling around $43.81 million — a substantial amount exceeding 22% of its market cap.
Other notable unlocks expected this month include:
Pump.fun (PUMP) — approx. $28.3 million
Kaito (KAITO) — around $20 million
